Rotary International District 2420

Rotary International (RI) is an international non-governmental organization active in 185 countries around the world, with more than 1 million members, granted consultative status by the United Nations, where it also maintains a permanent representation. To ensure effective management and communication, such a large organization is systematically divided into units called Zones, and the zones are in turn divided into districts.

District 2420 is the first and oldest of the three Rotary districts established within the Republic of Türkiye in 1988.

The RI District 2420 Rotary Federation operates across a region covering Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, İstanbul, Kocaeli, Yalova and the Gelibolu district of Çanakkale. This district is home to more than 90 Rotary Clubs and over 2,000 Rotarians actively working for the benefit of the community.

District 2420 carries out its activities under the coordination of the District Governor and ensures coordination among the Rotary Clubs in the district. Thanks to the District Team made up of club members, every club is represented, contributes to decision-making processes and works in effective communication with the other clubs.
